Gas flow regulators
LAMBDA MASSFLOW are digital gas flow regulators used as stand-alone laboratory instruments or connected to the bioreactor system.
LAMBDA MASSFLOW
LAMBDA MASSFLOW is a mass flow controller specially designed for use with LAMBDA Minifor2Bio laboratory bioreactors. The gas flow regulator allows for example to control the pH of a cell culture by the controlled addition of gaseous CO2, the control of pO2 (dissolved Oxygen, DO) by regulation of the airflow or any other gas with a suitable controller. The LAMBDA MASSFLOW is a stand-alone instrument and can thus also be used independently.
How does the digital gas flow regulator LAMBDA MASSFLOW work?
The flow rate is measured by a high-quality laminar mass flow sensor and is displayed on a digital touch screen. The mass flow cell has a very low-pressure drop (less than 1 cm of H2O). The flow rate is regulated by a specially developed proportional needle valve controlled by a microprocessor.
Applications of the LAMBDA MASSFLOW gas flow controllers
The LAMBDA MASSFLOW gas flow controllers allow a precise and automatic control of the gas flow, e.g., for pH regulation in cell cultures or the creation of a desired gas-mix without the need of any other gas station:
